James Howard Montgomery

James Howard Montgomery, age 90 of Hoschton, GA passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

Born on Aug. 6, 1933 in Cookeville, TN, Mr. Montgomery was the son of the late John Morgan and Lydia Byers Montgomery. He was the widower of Bonnie Montgomery; an independent insurance agent; a founding member of Commerce Church of Christ; a US Army veteran; and was preceded in death by his siblings.

Survivors include sons, Michael (Sonya) Montgomery, Mark (Donna) Montgomery; daughter, Julie (Kenny) Jansen; grandchildren, Jarrad (Alexandria) Montgomery, Brayden Montgomery, John Mark Montgomery, Anna Montgomery, Katie (Jacob) Galloway, Taylor Jansen; and a great-grandchild, Cameron Patrick Galloway.

Funeral services will be held 12 pm Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Scoggins and John Burnette officiating. The family will receive friends 11 am until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.
