Ada C. Hammond

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Ada Belle Crumley Hammond, 78, of Commerce who passed away on Sunday at the Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Walker W. and Ida Lee Myra Brown Crumley and was the widow of Joe E. Hammond, Sr. Survivors include her children, Susan Hammond Ray of Columbus, Caroline Hammond Sallette of Cartersvile and Joe "Jody" Hammond of Hull; siblings, Deanie Sears of Commerce, Loretta Barnes of Maysville, Brenda Smith of Danielsville and Wayne "Dickie" Crumley of Commerce; and four grandchildren. Graveside services and interment are scheduled for Thursday at 11 AM from the Comer Cemetery with Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.
