Alan Wade Appleby, Sr., “Pops” age 60, of Danielsville, GA passed away on May 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Alan was born June 22nd, 1962, in Lancaster, PA to Harold Edward Appleby and Gloria Jean Appleby (Skiles).
He served his country by spending several years in the United States Air Force. Alan was full of life and never met a stranger. He would spend the majority of his days camping and hiking outdoors and just loved being on adventures with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandkids and always enjoyed a good campfire. He enjoyed gardening and harvesting his own fruits and vegetables, canning, and preserving them, teaching his children and grandchildren how to as well. He was a very talented individual who could fix almost anything from changing engines and parts of vehicles to most recently build a house from the ground up with just him and his family. Also, recently gave his life to the Lord, Easter morning what a glorious day to turn your life over to the Lord the day our savior was risen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Gloria Appleby as well as a brother, Harold Edward “Eddie” Appleby. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Appleby; 3 brothers, Harold W. “Butch” (Johnette) Appleby, Gary W. (Tina) Appleby, Rusty Appleby; children, Alan Jr. (Rachel) Appleby, Eric (Madison) Appleby, Tiffany (Jordan) Mann; bonus children, Ashley (Drew) Evans, Tiffany (Daniel) Partain. He had 17 grandchildren with one great-grandbaby on the way.
Pops you will forever be in our hearts and will live on in our memories. We love you till the end of time and forever after that.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, 2 pm at Crossroads Worship Center Church of God, 365 Hwy. 441, Commerce, GA.
