Ivie Funeral Home of Commerce announces arrangements for Alma Bloodworth Porter, 84, of Maysville who passed away on Sunday August 11th, 2013. Mrs. Porter was the daughter of the late Elmer and Daisy (Gee) Bloodworth. Survivors include her husband Joseph M. Porter of the home; sons Joseph "Bucky" (Diane) Porter of Gillsville, Jerry "Bo" (Shirley) Porter of Gainesville; brother Cliffor Bloodworth of McDonough; grandchildren Jennifer Porter, Scott (Debbie) Porter, Todd (Angie) Porter, and Rodney (Denise) Porter; 4 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home on Wednesday August 14th at 11 AM with Rev. Chris Porter and Rev. John Batusic officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 until 8. Burial will follow the service at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will be accepting flowers but if you wish please send a donation to the church or charity of your choice.
