Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Alton Jerry Westmoreland, 71, of 747 S. Elm Street, Commerce who died early Sunday morning at his residence. Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late E.C. and Minnie Lee Brown Westmoreland and was married to Vivian Wilson Poe of the residence. Survivors, along with his wife, include 3 daughters,, Paula Helen Westmoreland of Royston, Julia Ann Westmoreland Bonner and Nancy Renee Westmoreland both of Commerce, one step daughter, Glinda (Curtis) Poe Bailey of Commerce, three Brothers, Larry (Linda) Junior Westmoreland and Timothy Oliver Westmoreland, both of Commerce and Tully John (JoAnn) Westmoreland of Nicholson, one sister, Carolyn Eloise Westmoreland Fitzpatrick of Commerce, 8 grandchildren,Jason Fuquay, Hope Leigh Fuquay Locke, Joshua David Locke, Holly Renee Fuquay, Mark Samuel Kroncke, Matthew Paul Kroncke, Leslie Alexandria O'Shields, Timothy Scott O'Shields; 3 great grandchildren, Christian Lee Locke, Isaiah Alexander Fuquay, Sydni Alexandria Wagner, 4 Step grandchildren, 5 step great grtandchldren and 1 step great great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at 4 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce with Rev. Donald Wilson and Dr. Jim Waller officiating. Intement will follow in the Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 PM.
