Amanda E. Sloterbeck

Ivie Funeral Home, Danielsville, announces the death of Amanda E. Sloterbeck, 97, of Comer who passed away on Friday, May 9, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. Born in Dover, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Emma Switzer Meisenhelter and was the widow of John Blackburn Sloterbeck. Survivors include a son, John (Joanne) Sloterbeck of Comer, brothers, Charles Meisenhelter of Kansas and Arvil Meisenhelter of Pennsylvania, grandchildren, Amanda J. Sloterbeck and Johnny Beth Sloterbeck, great grandchildren, Samuel Sloterbeck-Colley and Christopher Sloterbeck-Colley and step-grandchildren, Carole Barnaby, Beryl Adams, Leigh Lord and Katherine Cheatwood.
Mrs. Sloterbeck was cremated and private memorial services will be conducted later.
