Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Annie Mae Outten Johnson, 94, of Athens who died on Tuesday evening at her residence. Born on the eastern shore of Virginia in a little town called Machiponga, she was the daughter of the late Allen Earl and Pearl Eleanor Outten. She lived in Panama City, FL for over 20 years before moving to GA where she lived for the remainder of her life. Mrs. Johnson was the widow of Cecil Theodore Ward and Donald Ray Johnson. Survivors include a son, Oley Milton (Mickey) Ward, Sr. of Commerce; grandsons, Mickey Ray Ward of Toccoa, Oley Milton Ward, Jr. of Carnesville, FL, Cecil Ray Ward of Jefferson, Robert Lynn Ward of Athens; several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Calvert officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Panama City, Fl on Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-9 PM.
