Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Mr. Arthur G. Sears 81 of Commerce who died Saturday Oct. 22, 2011. He was the son of the late George Washington and Cora Lee Hill Sears. He was preceded in death by his first wife Minnie Evelyn Crumley Sears and his second wife Bobbie Jean Martin Sears along with a son Grant Sears.
Survivors include two sons Steve Sears and George G. Sears both of Commerce and a step son Carl Veal of Nicholson. A daughter Melissa Campbell of Commerce and a step daughter Bonnie Baker of Maysville, Ga. 11 Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday Oct. 24, 2011 from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Smith and Rev. James Dumas officiating with burial in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
