Ashley Pugh was born on February 10, 1970, in Athens, Georgia. On February 20, 2025, he departed this world peacefully at his home in Loganville, Georgia, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Ashley was the beloved firstborn of his mother, Joyce Baird, and the devoted older brother to Shane, Robin, and the late Marshall Pugh. From the very start, he brought joy and light into the lives of those around him. His larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and ability to turn any moment into one filled with laughter made him unforgettable.
A true outdoorsman, Ashley found happiness in the quiet of the woods and the thrill of the water. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or testing his luck at a poker table in Cherokee, NC, he lived each day with passion and excitement. He could talk endlessly about his collection of guns, his love for Ford trucks, or his latest pool game, always drawing in those around him with his infectious energy.
But above all, Ashley’s greatest love was his family. He was a devoted husband, a fiercely loyal father to his four children, a proud, patient grandfather to his six grandchildren and the favorite uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. His sons knew him as a man of strength and wisdom, raising them to be the great men he was so proud of. His grandchildren adored their “Papa” knowing they could always be their wild, carefree selves in his presence.
Ashley is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Pugh; his cherished mother, Joyce Baird; his children, Stephen Pugh (Preslee), Tyler Pugh (Michaela), Sidney Pugh, and Dawson Pugh; and his adored grandchildren, Asher, Brynn, Carter, Addy, Millie, and Luna. He also leaves behind a large, loving family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Ashley’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the stories, the traditions, and the countless lives he touched. His was a life well lived and well loved, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest easy, Ashley—you will forever be in our hearts.
