Bernice Owensby

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Bernice Owensby, age 86, who passed away on Wednesday October 1st, 2014. He was the son of the late Allen and Mattie Owensby. Survivors include sons; David, Allen, Ricky and Jimmy Owensby all of Commerce, Jerry Owensby of Carlton, Randall Owensby of Forest Park, and Jeff Owensby of Dallas; daughter, Janice Wilson of Nicholson; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Crocker Owensby. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday October 3rd, 2014 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Services will be held in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home on Saturday October 4th, 2014 at 2 PM with Rev. Swayne Cochran and Rev. Charles Elrod officiating. Interment will follow at Grey Hill Cemetery.
