Bertie (Barrett) Bagwell

Bertie Barrett Bagwell, age 83 of Commerce, GA passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Born on April 17, 1940 in Jackson County, GA, Mrs. Bagwell was the daughter of the late Fannie Barrett Mealer. She was the widow of Tillman Bagwell, a homemaker, and was preceded in death by sons, Johnny Bagwell and Phillip Bagwell.

Survivors include daughters, Bessie Bagwell Casper, Barbara Bagwell Parris, Janice Bagwell Webb; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Blacks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11 am until the funeral hour Saturday at the funeral home.
