She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ernest Edwards of Commerce, GA. Daughter, Debbie (Faron) Lauro-Power of Lancaster, CA; son, Dennis (Marie) Edwards of Acworth, GA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Chase of Acworth, GA and Kara Lauro of Arlington, VA; three grandsons, Justin (Karla) Lauro of Fayetteville, NC, Dennis "DJ" (Kim) Edwards, Jr. of Woodstock, GA, and David (Ashley) Edwards of Acworth, GA; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Mason and Jacob Edwards of Woodstock, GA; brother, Jones Allen "Pete" (Charlotte) Garmon of Jefferson, GA; sister, Beverly (Jerry) Scott of Commerce, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Emmett Duran and a sister, Barbara Edwards.
Visitation will be held at Ivie Funeral Home from 11 AM until 2 PM on Wednesday May 7th, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM following the visitation at Hudson River Baptist Church in Commerce, GA. The body will be cremated after the service.
