Bobby Authur Swaim

Bobby Authur Swaim, a beloved figure in the Danielsville, GA community and owner of Olen Construction, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Athens, GA. Born on September 8, 1947, in Commerce, Bobby led a life marked by dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Bobby proudly served his country in the Navy Seabees, where he exemplified the values of service and camaraderie that would follow him throughout his life. After his military service, he went on to establish a successful career as the owner of Olen Construction, where he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

He is remembered fondly by his beloved wife, Barbara Latta Swaim, and his two adoring children, Chelsea Swaim and Christopher Swaim. Bobby was also a cherished brother to his sisters, Ester Mae Crumley and Margie Butler, and his brothers, Horace Swaim, Harvey Swaim, and Jerry Swaim. Together, they shared countless memories that bolstered the bonds of family.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Olen A. and Neva Williamson Swaim, who instilled in him the values of kindness and hard work, as well as his sister, Joyce Swaim. Their cherished memories remain a testament to the love and guidance that shaped him into the man he was.

A visitation will be held in his honor at Ivie Funeral Home located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529, on March 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location beginning at 2:00 PM.

Bobby Authur Swaim leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and integrity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
