Brenda Joyce Rike

Brenda Joyce Rike, age 82, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on February 7, 2025. Born on November 21, 1942, in Rome, Georgia, she lived a life filled with purpose and dedication. Brenda was a beloved retired secretary with Arthur Anderson & Company, where her organizational skills and warm demeanor made a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her.

A longtime member of the Loganville Senior Center, Brenda embraced each day with a spirit of joy and community engagement. She had a strong faith, being a devoted follower of the Baptist religion, which played a significant role in her life.

Brenda was a cherished mother to Angela (Larry) York and Donnie (Cyndi) Jackson. She is also survived by her brother Scott (Bonnie) Jones, sister Paula Routon, and her grandchildren: Deborah, David, Zack, Adam, D.J., and Tori. Additionally, she leaves behind nine great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Herman Jones; mother, Effie Mae (Greer) Prince; step-father, Ernie Prince; step-mother, Ann Jones; brothers Timothy Prince, Alan Jones; and sister Lori Ann Prince.

The visitation will be held on February 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529. The funeral service will follow immediately after, starting at 4:00 PM. Brenda will then be laid to rest at Kennesaw Memorial Park  Cemetery 1306 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta, Georgia, on February 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Brenda Joyce Rike will be remembered for her lifelong commitment to her work, her family, and her community. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
