Calvin E. Hartness, age 90 of Atlanta, GA passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018.
Born on July 12, 1927 in Cartersville, GA, he was the son of the late Arlie and Martha Etta Payne Hartness. He was a teacher and football coach with Fulton County School System, of the Methodist faith and preceded in death by a son, Tommy Hartness, grandson, John Scott Hartness, brothers, Ed Hartness, Oliver Harness; sisters, Genevieve Rainey, Geneva Wallace and Virginia Sill.
Survivors include sons & daughter-in-law, Calvin and Lisa Hartness, Alan Hartness; sister-in-law, Judy Hartness; daughters, Nancy Hartness, Kathleen McCormick; sister, Martha Ann Hughes; four grandchildren and one 1 great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 pm Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Jackson Memorial Gardens with the Rev. George "Buster" Ward officiating.
