Mr. Charles Franklin Gardiner

Frankie Gardiner, age 72, of Homer passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. At Athens Piedmont Medical Center.

He was born in Commerce, Georgia on December 30, 1951 to the late Charles and Barbara Ann (Martin) Gardiner. He was also proceeded in death by a brother Randy Gardiner.

He served his country serving in the Army, and as a law enforcement officer in multiple counties and municipalities in North East Georgia. He retired from the Franklin County Sherriff’s department.

He was a member of several service organizations including; The Masonic Lodge of Carnesville Lodge #186, Toccoa York Rite Chapter and The Yaarab Temple.

He is survived by his sons; Ryan (Alison) Gardiner and Daniel Gardiner; daughter Misty Lee; brother Kieth Gardiner; sister Teresa Meister, he has 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday February 29, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Charles Crabbe in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home on Friday March 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
