Clay Alexander Carlan

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces memorial services for Clay Alexander Carlan, 50, of Commerce who passed away on Monday at his residence. Born in Commerce, he was the son of Thelma Westmoreland Carlan of Commerce and the late James Carlan. Other survivors include a daughter, Ashlie Wilson of Homer; brothers, Mike Carlan of NC, Dennis Carlan of Commerce and Jason Carlan of Gillsville; a half-brother, Nelson Goolsby of NC; multiple nieces and nephews. The body was cremated and a memorial celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday at 1 PM from the Montgomery Heights Baptist Church with Rev. James Dumas and Rev. Eddie Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Montgomery Heights Baptist Church.
