Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Cynthia Ann Swain, 42, of Commerce who died on Sunday at Athens Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Winder, she was the daughter of Lilly Wright Baker of Canon and the late Steve Baker. She was married to David Swain of the residence. Survivors, along with her mother and husband, include children, Lamar Cowart of Belton, SC, Lawanda Baker of Commerce, Megan Baker of Commerce and Maranda Garrett of Piedmont, SC; brother, David Peck of Canon; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 3 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Bowen officiating after which the body will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 AM until the time of service.
