Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for David Harold Denton, age 47, of Comer who passed away on Tuesday September 30th, 2014. He was the son of the late Edgar and Elberta Denton. Survivors include his son, Joshua David Denton of Hoschton; daughters Kayla Denton and Brittany Denton, both of Athens and Kristi Ryzek of Roswell; brothers, Donald Denton of Jefferson and David Moats of Jonesboro; sisters, Linda Casper and Janie Bowles, both of Jefferson; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Lou Aaron and Brenda Teet.
Services will be held on Friday October 3rd, 2014 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Pruett officiating, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday night from 6 PM until 8 PM. Interment will follow the service at Howington Cemetery.
