David Lamar Echols

David Lamar Echols, age 75 of Danielsville, GA passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019.

Born on May 17, 1943 in Maysville, GA, he was the son of the late Andrew Perry and Bertha Shubert Echols. He was a retired foreman with Aldridge Inc., attended Mt. Zion Baptist years ago, of the Baptist faith, and is preceded in death by brothers, Rev. Douglas Echols, Lloyd Echols, Travis Echols; sisters, Lois Baggs and Dorothy Sue Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Simmons Echols of the residence; son, Joey Echols, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Andy Bond, Royston, Pam and Mark Dellinger, Danielsville, Gail and Louis Sellers, Danielsville; brother, Jimmy Echols, Colbert; sisters, Claudine Herbert, Douglasville, Joyce Carter, Demorest, Nancy Ledford, Alto; grandchildren, Selina Bohannon, Caleb Bond, Courtney Fry, Jessica Dellinger, Rebecca Dellinger, James Sellers, Zachary Sellers, Jordan Sellers; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andy Bond and Rev. Caleb Bond officiating. Burial will follow in Banks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 11 am until time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
