Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Dorothy Mae Sampson, age 75, of Maysville who passed away on Thursday, February 20th, 2014 at the Oaks of Limestone in Gainesville. Ms. Sampson was born in Linden, TN and was the daughter of the late J.C. and Louise Brandon. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Eugene Sampson, Sr. and also her second husband James Billy Hughes; daughter, Tina Louise Castleberry Wells; son, Kevin Thomas Sampson; daughter-in-law, Terri Jo Sampson; and sister-in-law, Janie Young. Survivors include her son, Marvin Eugene Sampson, Jr; daughter, Mitzi Jean (Ken) Richardson; daughter-in-law, Renee Sampson; brother, Billy Odell Young; grandchildren, Casey Castleberry (Marcus) Southers, Kristy Rae Sampson Koeppe, Christopher Sampson, Crystal Sampson, Luke Anthony Young, James Matthew Sampson, Jessica Lee Wells, and Tabitha Sampson; great grandchildren, Cameron Tristan Silviera, Paige Sampson, Kaitlyn Underwood, Spencer Koeppe, Cadance Young, Lauren Bridges, Christian Young, Jax Bridges, Kolby Sampson, and Kenton Sampson; step children, Sherry and Gary Harding, Little Billie and Jerry Wade, Nancy Hughes, and James Hughes Jr; step grandchildren, Donna, Dusty, Justin, Jesse, Kristy, Ashley and Shanda and several step great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday February, 22nd, 2014 from 10 AM until 12 noon. Graveside services will be held following the visitation at 12:30 at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
