Faye Lanette Carter

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Faye Lanette Carter, 74, of Nicholson who died early Thursday morning at University Nursing and Rehab Center in Athens. Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Bessie Howington Smith and was the widow of the late Larry Carter. Survivors include her children, Brenda Ledford and Greg L. Wardlaw, both of Nicholson; a grandchild, Ryan Ledford; a great grandchild, Lonna J. Ledford; siblings, Myrtice Clifton, Charlie Smith and Dwain Smith, all of Nicholson; nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 11 AM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce with Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Howington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
