George Raymond West

Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel in Danielsville, announces services for George Raymond West, 71, of Danielsville who passed away at his residence on Saturday. Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late George W. and Bessie Akins West and was married to Carolyn Delores West of the residence. Other survivors include his children, Derita West (Mike) Adams of Watkinsville, DeLynda West of Athens, Darren R. West of Atlanta and David B. (Jennifer) West of Danielsville; grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany and Justin Adams, Brooke, Morgan, Carter, Jacob and Taylor West; siblings, Edna West Hughes of Danielsville and Malcolm T. West, also of Danielsville; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services and interment are scheduled for Tuesday at 2 PM from the Danielsville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home located at 42 Booger Hill Rd. in Danielsville on Tuesday from 1-2 PM. In view of inclement weather, the service will be conducted in the chapel of the funeral home. The family requests that those attending the service dress casually and that no flowers be sent.
