Gerald Lee Barnes

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Mr. Gerald Lee Barnes, Sr., 70, of Maysville who passed away on Tuesday at the Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Tifton, GA, he was the son of the late Hosie Lee Barnes and the late Janie Hobbie Stone. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, La-Juanda Barnes and a sister, Barbara Barnes. Survivors include his children, Tammy Barnes of Baldwin, Elizabeth Flowers of Homer, Charity Barnes of Homer, Taleigh Barnes of Homer, Kevin Barnes of Athens, Jerry Barnes of Blue Ridge and Jessie Barnes of Newnan; sisters, Marie Ann Stone of Newnan and Leesa Barnes Shropshire of Clarksville; 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 AM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce with Rev. James Dumas officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hil Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9 AM until the time of service.
