Gracie Shubert

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Gracie Shubert, 94, of Gillsville who passed away on Monday at the Northridge Nursing Facility. Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late John and Leona Moore McDuffie and was the widow of Earlie Shubert. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jackie Shubert, a grandson, Lamar Shubert and siblings, Mamie Payne, Junior McDuffie and Watson McDuffie. Survivors include a son, Otho (Catherine) Shubert of Homer, daughters, Bonnie (Aaron) Welborn of Commerce and Gail Shubert of Gillsville, brothers, Joe McDuffie of Maysville, Gene and Leon McDuffie, both of Commerce, sisters, Winnie Roach of Fayetteville, Dorothy Mizell, Betty McClung and Johnnie Shubert, all of Commerce, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 11 AM from the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Gillsville with Revs. Earl Pirkle, Alex Stevens and Tim Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 PM.
