Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Mr. Henry Lee "Tom" Brown 86 of Commerce. On Sunday Oct. 16, 2011 at 7:35 AM Tom went home to be with 11 siblings , 2 wives and his mom and dad. Tom was born May 12, 1925 son of Charlie W. and Nora Smith Brown. He was the last of 12 siblings. Survived by special friends Shirl & Randy Hart of the home and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, VFW Post 909, Masons, American Legion Post 100 and Tom served in WWII. He was loved and admired and respected by all he came in contact with.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 PM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson, Rev. Swayne Cochran and Rev. Charles Elrod with burial in the Blacks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
