J. T. Chambers

Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. J.T. Chambers age 87 of Homer who passed away at his residence on Sunday morning. Mr. Chambers was the son of the late Janks M. and Mellie Chambers. He was preceded in death by 4 sons, Larry, Jerry, Dennis, and Wesley Chambers. He is survived by his wife Imogene Irvin Chambers of home, two daughters, Judy Chambers Miller and Rita Chambers McNatt (James) both of Homer, daughter-in-law, Sharon Chambers of Commerce, a sister, Lila Duckett of Alto, four grandchildren, Stephanie Miller, Brian Miller (Angie), Chris Chambers and Amy Chambers, two great grandchildren also survive, Owen and Ethan Miller. Funeral services for Mr. Chambers will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at 2PM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Scotty Poole officiating and speaker James McNatt. Burial will be in the Homer Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 PM.
