James Thomas Martin

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for James Thomas Martin, 83, of Commerce who passed away early Monday morning at the Northridge Health and Rehab Center in Commerce. Born in Jefferson, he was the son of the late Buford and Lucille Hardy Martin and was married to the late Shirley Laws Martin. Survivors include daughters, Debra Martin Griffin of Clover, SC and Shelby Fields of Commerce, a son, James Andrew Martin of Homer, brothers, Ed Martin of Greenville, SC and Ben Martin of NC, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for Wednesday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
