James "Jamie" Howard Whitlock

James “Jamie” Howard Whitlock, age 76 of Danielsville, GA passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 at Piedmont Hospital.

Born on April 3, 1944 in Danielsville, GA, Mr. Whitlock was the son of the late Paul J. and Dessie Brooks Whitlock. He was a retired textile worker with Harmony Grove, and was preceded in death by brothers, John Walton Whitlock, Harvey Whitlock; sisters, Trella Whitlock and Vinnie Lou Whitlock Downs.

Survivors include a niece, Sheila Tavares; nephew-in-law, Ronald Tavares; nephew, Franklin Downs, niece-in-law, Libby Downs; great-nieces, Renee Walters, Kimberly Parks, Jessica Turner; great nephew, Gary Downs; and several great great nieces and nephews; special life long friends and neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Maddox, Mr. and Mrs. Will Detwieller, and Mr. Henry McWhorter.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Guest officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
