John Joseph Heany

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for John Joseph (Jack) Heany, Jr., 69, of Commerce who passed away on Friday at the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. Born in Anniston, AL, he was the son of the late John Joseph Heany, Sr. and Mildred Smith Heany. He was married to Connie Minter Heany of the residence. Survivors, along with his wife, include his children, Amy and Mark Pugh of AL, Tonia Hooker of TN, Sonia and Chris Johnson of GA and John Heany, also of AL.; a sister, Dianne and Dennis Kochanowski of West Virginia; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 3 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9 PM.
