John Lafayette Tiller

John Lafayette Tiller, age 75 of 1219 Brickyard Rd., Comer,Ga., entered into rest Monday, Dec. 30, 2013. Mr. Tiller was the son of the late Joseph Thomas and Mae Wheless Tiller. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents John E. and Ora Cofer Tiller and Henry L. and Belle Bridges Wheless, brothers Billy Joe and Larry Paul Tiller and a sister Anita K. Tiller. He was a retired coil winder with Westinghouse for 21 years and Louisiana Pacific for 14 years and served in the National Guard.

Survivors include; special friend, Freida Mann, Comer; a son, John L. Tiller, Jr., Clinton, SC; two daughters, Virginia Regan, Columbia, SC and Sharon Swartz, Lexington; three brothers, Jimmy Tiller and Freddy Tiller, both of Lexington, Jerry Tiller, Comer; three sisters, Eleanor T. Smith and Frances T. Forrester, both of Lexington, Linda T. Smith, Elberton; 3 Granddaughters, 5 Grandsons and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be 2 PM Sat., Jan 4 at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington, Ga. with Chaplin Philadelphia Henry officiating.

Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
