Joyce D. Brock

Joyce D. Brock, a cherished member of her community and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on October 16, 1942, she dedicated her life to her career with Fieldale Farms, where she was an integral part of the workforce and contributed to the success of the company.

Joyce's family was her pride and joy. She survived by her devoted daughter, Tammy (David) Boswell; her sister, Ruth Vaughn; two grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren who will forever remember the warmth and love she shared with them. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family, who carry forth the values and traditions she instilled in them.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Rueben Brock, and her parents, Lovic Leonard and Estelle Roberts Kitchens. She was also preceded by her brothers, James Kitchens, Otis Kitchens, and Terry Kitchens, all of whom played significant roles in her life and will be remembered fondly.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on October 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home, located at 1053 S. Elm Street, Commerce, GA 30529. A funeral service honoring her remarkable life will be held on October 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM, also at Ivie Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 2743 Hwy. 51, Homer, GA.

Joyce D. Brock will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her commitment to her work, and the profound impact she made on the lives of those around her. Her memory will remain alive in the hearts of her family and friends, who will treasure the moments shared and the love she gave so freely.
