Joyce Louise Yancey

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces memorial services for Joyce Louise Yancey, 63, of Commerce who passed away at her residence on Thursday evening. Born in Cumming, she was the daughter of Ethel Hamby Patterson of Winder and the late Lyndale Patterson and was married to Elmer L. Yancey of the residence. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Patterson. Survivors, along with her mother and husband, include her children Tammy Wiggley of Gainesville, Tiffany Byers and Frankie Haney of Banks County, and Mike Stowe of Gwinnette County; 5 grandchildren; siblings, Gary Patterson, Jimmy Patterson and Gay Stowe, all of Gwinnette County, Danny Patterson of Banks County, John Patterson of Greene County, Francis Bagley and Brenda Dietrich of Walton County and Martha Baker of Barrow County; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Yancey was cremated and memorial services are scheduled for Thursday evening at 7:30 from the Emmanuel Worship Center in Winder with Pastor Larry Pruett officiating.
