Juanita (Bowen) Swain

Mrs. Juanita Bowen Swain, age 83 of Maysville, GA, passed away on May 18th, 2024. Born on June 15th, 1940, in Athens, GA to the late William Vernon Bowen and Fannie Mae Massey Bowen, Mrs. Bowen was a Textile Machine Operator at Grady Garment, and was of the Christian faith.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Bowen is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Walter Swain, Sons, Calvin Swain, David Swain and Stanley Swain. Brothers, Frank Bowen, James Bowen, Roy Bowen, Junior Bowen and Cole Bowen, Sisters, Frances Trother, Dolly Dalton, Margaret Kitchens and Evelyn Meadows.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by daughters Becky Roberts of Maysville, and Annie Chamlee of Toccoa, brother Jack Bowen, and sisters Marie Canady and Ethel Brock. 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bowen will be held on Monday, May 20th, 2024 at 1:30 from the Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Thurston Gray Harris III and Rev. Curtis Edwards officiating. The Family will receive friends at Ivie Funeral Home on Monday, May 20th, 2024 from 11:00AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
