Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of Julia Delores Slater, 70, of Commerce who died on Tuesday at her residence. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Clifford Slater, a son and daughter in law Tommy and Kim Slater, 2 sisters Gloria Hart of Commerce and Margaret McDuffie of Homer. The grandchildren also survive. Delores was preceded in death by a son Randy Slater and a daughter Tammy Slaterl.
Services will be Thursday at 3 PM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Duncan, Rev. John Webber, Rev. Paul Vickery and Rev. Henry Webb officiating with burial in the Cabin Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM
