Kate Owensby Lacey

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Katie (Kate) Owensby Lacey, 89, of Commerce who passed away at the Northridge Medical Center on Sunday. Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Allen C. and Mattie Sims Owensby and was the widow of Clarence Coley Lacey. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Lacey. Survivors include daughters, Annette (Billy) Hanley and Gladys (Earl) Embrick, both of Commerce, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a number of great great grandchildren and a brother, Bernice Owensby of Commerce. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Waller and Rev. Clinton Sexton officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 PM.
