Mr. Kevin “Chip” Vanlee Fincannon II , age 35 of Athens GA passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on May 26, 2024. Mr. Fincannon was born in Athens, GA on February 4, 1989 to Kevin "Skip" Fincannon and Donna Tower. Mr. Fincannon was of the Christian faith and was a member at Southside Church. He was an avid golfer playing on Sundays with a group of friends, and bowling in the Barrow County League and Jim's League. He fought a long battle with glioblastoma and was a friend and hero to everyone he met.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Brenda Burgess, grandmother Shirley Wilbanks and uncle Ronnie Wilbanks.

Along with his parents, survivors include, Lyndsay Powell, lovingly known as "my wife" and son Seth. Step-mother, Lisa Fincannon, Step-Father, Michael Tower, sisters Crystal (Daniel) May, Ashley (Ben) Fincannon, Stormie Fincannon, Taylor Brookshire and brothers Jacob Fincannon and Matthew (Okelia) Brookshire, grandfather Willie Wilbanks, Aunt Lora Burgess, as well as nephews Bradley, Jackson, Hunter, River and nieces Finley and Lylah.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on June 23, 2024 from 2-5 pm at Chapman Hill (1960 Jett Roberts Rd. Jefferson GA 30549).

A cremation will be taking place per the deceased wishes.
