Lemuel Wayne Hix

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Wayne Hix, 86, of Danielsville, who passed away on Wednesday at the Northridge Health and Rehab Center in Commerce. Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Cammie Lilburn and Roxie Ann Reed Hix. He was also preceded in death by his previous wife of 51 years, Grace Stowe Hix. Survivors include his current wife of 13 years, Mildred Parham Hix of the residence; son, Larry Wayne (Jane) Hix, Sr. of Lilburn; grandchildren, Larry Wayne Hix, Jr. and Martin Stanley Hix; sister, Agnes (Ernest) Whitlock of Commerce; brother-in-law, William Hoyt Stowe, Jr. of Lilburn. Mr. Hix was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce with Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9 PM.
