Marshall Edward Dixon

Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel in Danielsville, announces memorial services for Marshall Edward Dixon, 86, of Danielsville who passed away early Thursday morning at the St. Mary's Hospice House in Athens. Born in Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Samuel Peyton and Nancy Bell Edwards Dixon. He was also preceded in death by two sons, David Dixon and Marshall Dixon, Jr. and a brother, Samuel Dixon, Jr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII and of the U.S. Army having served in Korea. Survivors include his children, Leslie Alewine of Danielsville, Allyson Dixon of NC, Claudia Roberts of Danielsville, Kimberly LeCroy of SC, Michael Dixon of Peachtree City, Samuel Dixon III of Alaska and Edward Dixon of Bogart, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for Monday at 11 AM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Danielsville with Rev. Robby Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service.
