Martha Ruth Burton McMeans age 92 of Danielsville passed away Sept. 23, 2015 at the Hill Haven Nursing Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. McMeans was born in Nashville, TN on August 23, 1923 to the late John Frank & Martha Sewell Burton. She was a homemaker and attended Commerce Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, James McMeans, Sr and a son, Charles David McMeans.
Survivors include, son, James O. McMeans, Jr of Danielsville, daughter, Maggie Corder of Palm Coast, FL , brother, Bill Burton of Atlanta, sister, Ann Smelser of Duluth. Grandchildren, Christi Green, Tamara Farlow Adams, & Karen McMeans, 8 great grandchildren 5 great great grandchildren and 1 on the way.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday night at Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday Sept. 26, 2015 at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens with Rev. Paul Scoggins officiating.
