Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Mary Rilla Parson, 88, of Commerce who passed away early Friday morning at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle. Born in Jackson County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Mary Guest Saxon and was the widow of Cobb Parson. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Smith. Survivors include a son, Ronnie Parson of Commerce, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-7 PM.
