Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Mary Ruth Swain, 82, of Commerce who died Sunday July 31, 2011. Survivors include her husband, J. C. Swain of the home, 3 sons, Danny Swain, Mark (Vonnie) Swain and Terry ( Tammie) Swain, all of Commerce, a daughter, Judy Ward of Commerce, 2 brothers, Gene Sorrow of Nicholson and Ambray Sorrow of Commerce. Mrs. Swain was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Dianne Swain, 2 brothers, Hoyt Sorrow and Thurston Sorrow and a sister Reba Sorrow.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11 AM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce with Rev. Don Blalock officiating with burial in the Nicholson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Pallbears will be grandchildren, Justin Swain, Jennifer Lance, Nathan Ward, Megan Ward, Caleb Swain, Zack Swain and Samuel Swain.
