Matilda L. Wood

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Matilda L. Wood, 80, of Homer who passed away on Friday at the Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehab. Born in Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude Dietel Ormsbee and was the widow of J.T. Wood. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Wood. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Mason of Atlanta, siblings, Violet Parks of California, Harold Ormsbee, Ralph Ormsbee and Elmer Ormsbee, all of Florida, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 12 Noon from the Charity Baptist Church in Homer with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 PM and on Saturday from 9-11 AM.
