Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Mattie Joyce Denton, age 80, of Maysville who passed away on Thursday February 27th, 2014 at Northridge Medical Center. Ms. Denton was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie (Hooper) Mintz. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Buford Denton. Survivors include her sons, Melvin Mason of Maysville and Thomas Mason of Buford; brother, William Mintz of Maysville; sisters, Tex Hortman of Musella and Hilda Ward of Maysville; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 28th, 2014 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at the Anderson-Mintz Cemetery at 11 AM.
