Mike F. Whisnant

Ivie Funeral Home announces memorial services for Mike Franklin Whisnant, 52, of Commerce who died on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the NE GA Medical Ctr. in Gainesville. Born in Winder, GA, he was the son of James Whisnant and the late Dovie Crisley Whisnant. He was also predeceased by a sister, Lisa Whisnant. Survivors, along with his father, include his wife, Debbie London Whisnant of the residence; a son, Tim and Jennifer Whisnant of Toccoa; brothers, Steve Whisnant of Pendergrass and Larry Whisnant of Jefferson; a sister, Joann Whisnant of Pendergrass; a grandchild, Shelby Whisnant of Toccoa. Memorial services for Mike Whisnant will be conducted on Sunday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. J. Beatty officiating. The body was cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 PM until the time of service.
