Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel in Danielsville, announces services for Minnie Evelyn Carter Gaines, 81, of Hull who passed away Wednesday, April 3 at her residence. Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late John Mervin and Clara Leonia Childers Carter and is preceded in death by her siblings; Mary Ella Carter, Clara Bell Carter and Ina Sue Bell. Survivors include her husband, Charles Gaines of the residence; children; Phyllis Elaine (Ronald) Allen, and Charles Phillip (Tracy) Gaines; grandchildren; Sonya Elaine Allen, Tonya Lynn Sumrall, Mason Eugene Allen and Daniel Charles Allen; great-grandchildren; Tyler Lanier Hooper, Morgan Haley McFalls, Trey Joseph Sumrall and Tori Katelynn Sumrall. Services are scheduled for Saturday at 11 am from Joy Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Hayes and Rev. Barry Black officiating. Interment will follow in the Colbert City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home located at 42 Booger Hill Rd. in Danielsville on Friday evening from 6-8 pm and at other times at the residence located at 5717 Hwy. 29 S. in Hull. Mrs. Gaines will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Pallbearers are Kenny Bell, Jason Bell, Bobby Bell, John Bacon, Daniel Allen, Tyler Hooper, Mason Allen and Joey Sumrall.
