Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Minnie Lee Sorrow, age 74, who passed away on Tuesday June 17th, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Garnett and Bessie Mathis Adams. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sorrow and sister, Willie Mae Adams. She is survived by her sons, Grady Franklin Sorrow and Jimmy Ray Sorrow, both of Commerce, and Dennis Alan Sorrow of Colorado; brothers, Johnny Adams of Gainesville and J.C. Adams of Washington State; sisters, Ida Belle Sears of Madison County, Pearly Mae Helton of Tennessee, Sara Ann Turner of Jasper, Sarah Martin, Ruby Watson, Patricia Hill, Jenny Dempsey and Lucy Ogden all of Gainesville; nine grandchildren and one great grand child.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday June 18th, 2014 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Services will be held on Thursday June 19th, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Peek officiating. Interment will follow at Howington Cemetery.
