Mollie Russell Mathis

Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mollie Mytelda Russell Mathis who passed away at her residence on Monday March 14, 2011. Mrs. Mathis was 88 yrs old and was born to the late Ben Lee Partin and the late Emma Gunter Partin. She was predeceased by two husbands, the late James Henry Russell and the late Woodrow Mathis. Mrs. Mathis is survived by 4 sons, Junior (Evelyn) Russell of Blairsville, Thomas (Betty) Russell of Oakwood, Arra Russell of Commerce and William (Lisa) Russell of Pendergrass, two daughters, Edna Mae (Corbet) Bingham of Commerce and Emma (Dee) White of Andrews, N.C., one sister Roberta Hughes of Cummings, Ga., 10 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. Mathis will be on Wed. March 16, 2011 at 11AM in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Wed. afternoon at 4PM from the Belle View Church Cemetery in Murphy, N.C. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Tue. evening from 7-9PM.
