Mozelle Wilson Hill died Monday, January 3, 2011, 8 hrs. short of her 96th birthday, at Riverview Nursing Home under the care of Hospice of Savannah and attended by her daughter and grandson. Mozelle was born in Maysville, GA to the late Allen Daniel and Eunice Yarbrough Wilson. She was also predeceased by her husband, Aaron W. Hill, her step-mother, Oline Wilson, sisters, Maie Hill, Clarabelle Mabry and twin sister, Ozelle Wilson, brothers, Grady Wilson, W.D. (Dub) Wilson and Sid Wilson; step-brothers, Joe Prickett and Howard Prickett and a granddaughter, Emily Amanda Coker.
Mozelle is survived by a daughter, Frances Hill Williams (Robert) of Savannah, a son, Ralph Allen Hill of Maysville, GA, grandchildren, Michael Edward Walton of Savannah, Susan Camille Spencer (Dean) of Pensacola, FL and Beth Cribbs Larson (Lance) of Savannah, great grandchildren, Nicholas and Maxwell Spencer, Jordan and Cassandra Cribbs, and Luke Larson.
Mozelle and her husband owned and operated Hill's Grocery in Maysville, GA. Shortly after his death and with the assistance and support of her son, Ralph, she operated her deceased father's farm as a cattle ranch, raising beef cattle and, as a hobby, goats.
Mozelle was a member of the Harmony Christian Church.
Funeral services are Thursday, Jan. 6 at 2 PM in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, GA. Family visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
