Norma Ariail

Norma Jean Fields Ariail age 81 of Maysville, GA passed away on May 5th, 2023.

Born on July 24th, 1941 in Madison County, GA, Mrs. Ariail was the daughter of the late Alvin B Fields and Juanita Cook Fields. Mrs. Ariail was retired from the North East Georgia Medical Center Hospice where she worked as a nurse. She was a graduate of Shelby State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Maysville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ariail is preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Ariail, Brother, Donny Fields and Sister, Jonell Jones.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Frederick Payne Ariail; Sons, Rick (Luci) Ariail, and Andrew (Tammy) Ariail; Daughter, Norma “Melissa” (Ross) Layne; Sisters, Sheila Embrick and Dianne Nunn. Six Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at 2:00PM at New Harmony Baptist Church in Nicholson, GA with Rev. Shane Roberson and Rev. Ross Layne officiating. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Sharpton. The family will receive friends at Ivie Funeral Home on Sunday, May 7th, 2023 from 2:00-5:00PM
